The Heart of the Matter
Liberating Truth was born at the intersection of ministry, research, and lived experience.
For more than 15 years, Jill Simms, PhD has served believers, particularly church leaders, by addressing what often goes unnamed — the hidden heart conditions that fuel discord, division, and disunity within the church. When leaders embrace truth, they don't just change personally. They carry it back to their families, congregations and communities.
The Research
Holding a PhD, Simms' doctoral research focused specifically on church discord within the African American Christian community. Her work revealed a consistent truth: when conflict is ignored or mishandled, it fractures trust and purpose. But when truth is approached with humility, self-assessment, emotional discipline, and grace, it becomes a powerful force for advancement, restoration and unity.
The Problem
Many leaders and congregations live with the symptoms of discord: in-fighting, anger, gossip, contention, ego, offense, bitterness, unforgiveness. Some even say, "We don't have a problem. We're unified." But what's often missing is the courage and clarity to address the root: the condition of the heart.
The Difference
Most ministries address the symptoms. Liberating Truth goes deeper. The focus is on the root condition of the heart, where real transformation begins.

The Platforms
Beyond ministry and scholarship, Simms has hosted the Liberating Truth radio and internet programs, co-hosted The Light TV show, and led the Authors' Showcase. Each platform reflects the same commitment: truth, purpose, and transformation.
